https://shmoop.pro/ Moments ago, we loaded vehicles with more than 45,000 pieces of mail, and throughout the next few times, USC’s admission decisions for the class of 2017 are revealed.

From us, now we’ll be anxiously waiting to hear from them as I reflect on our work, I become aware of just how quickly the tables have turned: high school seniors have been waiting with nervous anticipation to hear. We know that the learning pupils we have admitted are among the best on the planet. All have actually many excellent options for college and now we can barely wait to discover who can accept our offer and join the Trojan Family.

Getting our decisions in the mail could be the culmination of many months (and tens-of-thousands of hours) of work. I’m incredibly proud associated with USC that is entire Enrollment team—for its commitment, work and professionalism. The group of pupils that people have identified for admission is the greatest in USC’s 133-year history!

And speaking of incredible pupils, listed here are only a few information regarding this year’s admitted freshman class:

• 19.6% of applicants were admitted
• More than 3,100 different high schools are represented
• Our admitted students come from every U.S. state, the District of Columbia and 79 various countries
• Outside of California, the five most represented states are Texas, Illinois, New York, Washington and Massachusetts
• Outside the U.S., the most represented countries are China, South Korea, India, Canada and Singapore
• 1-in-9 may be the first in their family to attend college
• 64percent are students of color
• 17% are international students
• The typical admitted student comes with an un-weighted high college GPA of 3.8. With weighting, the GPA is more than 4.0.
• The conventional admitted pupil took 6-8 AP courses (assuming these were offered at his / her senior high school)
• 75% of our admitted students have standardized test scores in at least the percentile that is 95th

Thank you for coming on this journey with us. Irrespective of the outcome, we now have certainly enjoyed getting to know each and every applicant over the year that is last. With respect to every one of us at USC, I would like to want every potential student the very best of fortune as they begin this next exciting chapter of their lives.

They accepted you and to also be viewed being an applicant to this school can be an accomplishment in it of itself. Also to be admitted! Kids would kill for this position. I know it feels like a form that is small of but it is not. We would not have traded my spring admit status for anything. It allowed me personally to really have a little more time after high college to realize most of the inevitable modification that was ahead and it gave me some true to life experience (as cliché as that noises).
