American Air is gearing up for the winter travel season with 24 new nonstop routes that can take travelers from smaller cities to popular warm-weather destinations.

The Las Vegas-based budget airline’s most recent expansion includes a return to 2 cities it previously served: Palm Beach, Florida, and Fort Collins, Colorado. American hasn’t functioned Fort Collins because 2012 and Palm Beach because 2016.

The flights, which can be reserved on the airline’s website, will generally be offered two times a week. Some flights are somewhat seasonal, others will operate year round. Don’t anticipate the introductory fares to be available for traveling around Thanksgiving, Christmas or other peak travel periods.

American, like fellow discounters Spirit and Frontier, fees low base fares plus fees for "extras, including ” such as a seat assignment, carry-on or checked luggage, in-flight drinks and food and more.
