John Cena to Star in the Suicide Squad Spinoff Peacemaker

There’s a great news for all the Comic book fanatics as the legendry wrestler and Suicide Squad star John Cena has entered the line for his very own streaming series.
HBO Max that is currently limited just to America, announced on September 23 that it has approved ordered for a spinoff of the upcoming movie, James Gunn’s Suicide Squad’, that stars the veteran professional wrestler as the Peacemaker. The Peacemaker is a character from the DC Comics Universe and is considered as one of the major superhero.
The series will have a total of eight episodes and the there will be no shooting for the pilot. In fact, the makers will proceed right into the show’s production.
According to Deadlines, James Gunn will himself write all the episodes of the spinoff and work closely with the new series. John Cena will also act as the co-executive producer of the show.
The series will explore John Cena’s character that he plays in Suicide Squad in depth. The character goes by the name of Christopher Smith who is a pacifist diplomat. He is the son of a commandant who operated Nazi death camp. He fights warlords and dictators and is the founder of his institution, Pax Institute.
Casey Bloys, Chief Content Officer for HBO and HBO Max, says that James Gunn has the ability to make an intensive and expansive universe where all the characters have their unique characteristics, wits, and soul. He is excited to explore the world of Peacemaker more deeply and interestingly.
James Gunn also says that Peacemaker will give him the chance to look into what is happening in the world at the moment. He will reflect into the social ongoing through the lens o superhero and supervillains. He is extremely excited to extend the world of The Suicide Squad and the character of Peacemaker into life in a more intensive way. John Cena will next be seen in another major franchise. He will play a major role in ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise’s ninth sequel as well.
