Wheel of Fortune host, Pat Sajak apologises for yelling at contestant

the NAB Achievement in Broadcasting Dinner at the Encore Las Vegas on April 9, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada. NAB Show, the trade show of the National Association of Broadcasters and the world’s largest electronic media show, runs through April 12 and features more than 1,700 exhibitors and 102,000 attendees.

Wheel of Fortune host, Pat Sajak got little annoyed on the Wednesday night episode, when a contestant questioned the credibility of one of the puzzle answers. Contestant Darin McBain’s mother was also a former contestant and three-day champion of the show in 1982.

The puzzle asked for things that begin with the word “kitchen.” McBain guessed the answer correctly, “Cabinet, towel, oven, sink.” But after winning, he enquired about one of the answers.
“Kitchen oven?” he asked. “What was that? Who calls it a ‘kitchen oven’?”
But the comment didn’t go well with Sajak as he started yelling at the contestant.
“Don’t!” Sajak yelled. “You won! Don’t argue, Darin! … You got the puzzle. Ungrateful players! I’ve had it!”

The host was obviously teasing and later he apologised by saying “I’m sorry I yelled at you.” he further added, “It’s just — I don’t remember your mother giving us trouble like you did.”
